I don’t know what I’m more excited about- the release of Deadpool & Wolverine or Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds at the Met Gala. Over the years, we’ve fallen in love with their sense of humor online (they’re always trolling each other) and have come to look forward to their cute moments on red carpets. Who can forget the way Ryan reacted in 2022 when Blake’s Atelier Versace gown changed from rose-gold to blue? Get you a man who appreciates fashion like he does!
A$AP Rocky & Rihanna
Sometimes late but always coordinated, A$AP Rocky and Rihanna stun on every red carpet but especially the Met Gala red carpet. Last year, she wore an all-white bridal-esque Valentino gown. I mean look at that train! It was 5 meters long! My fav part? The eyelashes on her sunglasses. His Gucci suit jacket and kilt look did not disappoint either. Both are worth the wait.
Brooklyn Beckham & Nicola Peltz Beckham
Who doesn’t like young love? Although Met Gala newbies, fashion runs in Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham’s blood and they’re ones to watch simply because of that. Last year, both in Valentino, they embraced the layered necklace look while coordinating wearing black and white. Her YSL makeup was FLAWLESS!
Dwyane Wade & Gabrielle Union
Met Gala red carpet vets Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union always show up and show out. In 2022, Gabrielle’s Versace gown was accentuated with a red flower embellished with red crystals to represent the blood spilled during the Gilded Age. Dwyane accessorized with a cane and his chiseled abs. Whether matching their fits for a red carpet or coordinating their everyday style, it’s always a win!
J.Lo & whoever she’s married to
One of this year’s chairs went to her first Met Gala 20 years ago! Feel old yet? J.Lo’s looks are always showstoppers no matter who her arm candy is. For 2023’s theme “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” she chose a custom silk velvet halter-neck gown with a silk satin skirt by Ralph Lauren. It was sophisticated, romantic and sexy all at the same time. Classic JLo.
