Whether you drive down to the beach for some sun, take the boat out for a cruise or pack your supplies for a cookout, here’s 7 must-haves for your Memorial Day weekend!
1. How cute are these Gert & Co tea towels?! Quick-drying, designed in Maine and women owned, these are all created from original hand-drawn watercolor paintings. Plus, everything is 25% off on their website until Monday. A must-have addition to your cookout supplies!
2. I love a natural, clean deodorant and CRYSTAL is a great one. With 24-hour odor protection and no white marks or stickiness, you can roll it on quickly and get to the fun. If you ask me, a requirement if you plan to be around people!
3. Part of ThinkSun’s mission is to make sure their products are safe to make, safe to use and don’t harm the environment. Their EWG rated and reef safe products are for you, your kids and your babies! My picks: Thinksport SPF 50 Clear Zinc Sunscreen, Thinksport Kids SPF 50 All Sheer Mineral Sunscreen Spray and Thinkbaby Sunscreen Stick SPF 30+. We can all be better about protecting our skin from the sun and feel good about doing it.
4. Don’t forget to protect those lips from the sun too! After recovering from melanoma and discovering the healing properties of coconut oil, the owner of Cap’n Coconut incorporated it into all of her products. Their fruity SPF 30 lip balms smell so good, you’ll want to get them all.
5. The most important step for glowy summer skin is to hydrate! I love the smooth texture and the smell of MyCHELLE Illuminating Peptide-Rich Whipped Moisturizer. It contains Vitamin C and antioxidants which when used regularly can brighten the skin and diminish the appearance of dark spots. Plus, it’s free of parabens, petroleum, phthalates, silicones, sulfates, ureas, artificial fragrances, and artificial colors.
6. My new favorite sparkling canned cocktail just happens to be from Jalisco, Mexico, the state my parents are from! Avana is USDA-Certified organic and made up of the highest quality of organic Blanco tequila. Plus, they’re only 95 calories each making them refreshing and guilt-free! Pick them up at Whole Foods. ¡Salud!
7. If you’re up for a sober good time, NoAlchCo (No Alcohol Company) has alcohol-free options of Rosé, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The company uses an interesting distillation method called Spinning Cone Column technology to remove the alcohol then adds some of the natural flavors and aromas of traditional wine back in. Rosé all day or Chardonnay bay bay??
